Guardian and Mesmer - Guild Wars 2 Fanart - by Myrmirada (Anna Verhoog)

YEAH! I’m in the GW2Girls FB group. I’m an admin there. :D
Nice to meet you here!

Nice to meet you here!

Two of the many that had me “Wait, what?”

  • The Crown Pavilion - this was where The Great Collapse was, right? :O
  • Lion’s Arch asuran portals to the races’ home cities - I knew it was on an island before.

This was where the old portals were located:

You know that feeling when you left a place for more than a year and here comes the time you come back to that place, and you notice real changes - a new building is up, roads have been fixed, more houses, etc, and you just get amazed by all the transformation.

I just got that feeling in Guild Wars 2. I mean, not all games do this. In my previous games, whenever I went inactive and decides to come back for a while, the game is still the same - the maps and all. That’s totally not the case in Guild Wars 2!

In Tyria, it’s like everything is pretty similar to real life - the places change. You don’t notice right away that something got added, or something went missing. This really amazed me!

I was strolling around Divinity’s Reach and found these stuff which I knew were never there before. Wow~

Map Completions Today:

  • Queensdale
  • Divinity’s Reach

A lot has changed. I can really tell. And it’s quite surprising, in a good way. :’)

Surprise, suprise! Faced the Shadow Behemoth again. Nostalgic!

wallflowertorose just asked:
"What server are you playing on? :D"

The toon I’m playing now is currently in Fort Aspenwood. :D

(although my main account is in Blackgate, but I’m playing the second account now for the comeback experience :D)

Here’s from my new account, after 52years of not playing GW2 lol.
Leveled her to 15 for now. I was sooooo confused at the changes from the recent patch. It seemed like I got lost inside. I was wondering at first where the icons in the map were (or do you need to toggle up some button). I did a check in my map. Apparently, there are level requirements now before you can view/use them:
vistas
skill challenges
gathering tools
icons for gathering (veggies/ores/lumber)
map completion progress
I do like the reward system though. I maybe got confused because I had the “old player” mindset and experience, but for a fresh, super new player, I think they will love this system. It’s kind of slow progress, and you unlock stuff and new tutorials once you hit certain levels. And still, I love the exploration. I’m surprised there’s a navigation now which will help you (or give you tips) for a nearby map completion stuff. You don’t have to check the map from time to time.
As for the map completion, I really asked the people on map chat about it. “How do you find the progress of your map completion?” They said I just have to check the world map - another one said that “It’s there, just hover your mouse to a map”, but there wasn’t! Until I leveled up to 15 - and it unlocked. I can see it finally in my loading screen.
The new stuff is quite great for a comeback player like me, because lots of things to discover and learn again, although it’s so confusing at first.

And made a fresh toon yesterday. So surprised of the changes inside the game at early levels. I decided to start anew. Still at level 6. Will post updates here too.

Add me up: Celevera.1896

Just done reading Sea of Sorrows, and I say… it’s the best book in the Guild Wars book series! It’s amazing how Cobiah Marriner founded Lion’s Arch, what happened during the Rising of Orr, why we’re facing the undead today, and why Lion’s Arch is a free city - center of trade and all races.

I love every part of it. My mind is playing battle scenes from time to time. I imagine it’s somewhat like the Pirates of the Caribbean. This book can be amazing if it’ll have a movie adaptation.

Two thumbs up to Ree Soesbee!

wait there’s GW2 novels ??? I NEED

YES! There are 3 books namely: 1) Ghosts of Ascalon, 2) Edge of Destiny, and 3) Sea of Sorrows

The flow of the story goes backwards though (meaning, GoA happened after EoD, and SoS happened before EoD). These novel happened between Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2. Some of the characters are still in-game. ;)

Hey guys! I don’t want to announce that I’m back - like really, really back - coz everytime I say so, it just doesn’t happen. Lol.
Anyhow, it’s been 52 years since I updated this blog. Haha. I’m currently into serious, working young-adult (turning 24 soon ugh) mode so I couldn’t play my games that often.
I miss Guild Wars 2 so much! I realized how much I miss it when I had a chat with the admins of Guild Wars 2 Girls group yesterday at Facebook. We’re planning to run our official forum instead of just an FB group.
So I’ve been playing Dota2 lately - but not much. Still learning. I’m not really into MOBA-gaming. I just got interested with it coz my guy friends and brothers are so into it. I’ve seen Free 2 Play movie though. So great and inspiring!
I’m also currently downloading League of Legends. Just want to try it as well. Lots of my friends told me it’s a game for “girls” lol, but I dunno. I just want to check it out.
How have y’all been doing? :D
